More Cool Stuff...

Busy busy busy. New writing gig (yes, again). Starting up a law firm (yes, still), but I figured I'd throw out some stuff that's been keeping me smiling through this stuff.

1) new Star Wars Saga Rpg Products (rpg)

Both the Force Unleashed and Knights of the Old Republic sourcebooks for this game are very very good. I kinda thought the Force Unleashed might not be as good (based as it is on a just video game and not a video game and a bunch of cool comics like KOTOR) but honestly they are both really great. Lots of nifty Talents, Feats, and a few cool Prestige classes but not the crazy glut of them we've seen with other d20 games.

2) Legend of the Burning Sands (rpg)

Good solid Arabian fantasy themed rpg from AEG. Fun, easy to grok rules, and it allowed me to get my "I want to make a Howard-eqsue character" groove on.

3) Vade Macum: the Cthulhutech Companion (rpg)

If you don't own Cthulhutech...go get it. If you do, go get this book. It's wonderfully done, beautifully illustrated, and has all sorts of cool stuff for a Ctech game. Don't let the relatively think book fool you...they is crammed full of neat and useful stuff. It's lean, mean, and ready to fight the Old Ones from the cockpit of the giant biomechanical war machine.

4) Sons of Anarchy (TV)

So far the best new show of the season. It's one of these "this is about a family/group of people and stuff happens" shows except this time it's a biker gane who runs guns in a small town. And it's totally fantastic. Great actors help this intriguing concept along, including geek favorite and damned talented thespian Ron Perlman.

5) Rock Band 2

More of the same in a totally good way. Being able to make stand-ins for my band and play with my band online goes a long way to making this game even more fun than the first one. Also, my favorite Dylan song is on it, plus great tracks by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Billy Idol (loves me some White Wedding), Elvis Costello, Social Distortion, and many more.

There's more, but that's it for now. Later.
